The Chairman of the Management Board of KEGOC JSC began traditional reporting tour meetings with regional personnel of the company

On 2 March 2020 in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk the Chairman of the Management Board of KEGOC, Mr. Bakytzhan Kazhiyev, held a meeting with the personnel of Vostochnye MES branch. 

Important energy sources are deployed in the region, including hydroelectric power plants of national importance (Bukhtarma hydroelectric power plant (HPP), Ust-Kamenogorsk HPP, Shulbinsk HPP), regional power plants (Ust-Kamenogorsk thermal power plant) and others. The region is crossed by a very important North-East-South transmission line, which connects the northern power plants with the eastern and southern regions of Kazakhstan. 

Bakytzhan Kazhiyev informed his colleagues about the performance of KEGOC in 2019, including the progress in implementing large-scale strategic projects, operational and financial performance. He also provided information on technical disturbances, specifically noting zero accidents, class 1 failures, and technical disturbances in the reporting year as a result of erroneous actions of personnel and unsatisfactory equipment operation management.

The head of the company paid special attention to labour protection and industrial safety issues, and informed the meeting about the work done by the Company to ensure healthy and safe working conditions. 

«The Company complies with all requirements and obligations to create safe working conditions for its employees. However, to achieve a ‘zero’ level of injury to workers, all employees of our Company need not only to strictly comply with all requirements of health and safety rules, but also demand this from their colleagues», - Bakytzhan Kazhiyev emphasized.

He also updated the participants of the event on the progress of the Business Transformation Programme, fulfilment of obligations to shareholders and other issues, and informed the meeting about the plans for 2020. 

During the meeting, employees had the opportunity to ask the Chairman of the Management Board questions on topics of their interest.
