On 24 September in the city of Brest (Belarus) the XII International competition ended to test the professional skill of electric power industry experts from CIS countries – International repair and maintenance competition for 110 kV and higher electricity transmission lines.
The team of Akmolinskiye MES branch of KEGOC from Kazakhstan, took the second place. The first place was taken by the hosts - the team from Belarus. Georgian team was the third. The competitions that consisted of six stages were participated by six teams in total: Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan.
Kazakh team ranked first in knowledge quiz of existing rules, regulations and standards, second in replacing defective conductor tension insulators, type PS160 No.10-11, on the anchor tower type U-36 M at 220 kV transmission line using the platform and third in replacing defective conductor suspension insulators, type PSD70 No.12-13, on suspension tower, type PB220-1 at 220 kV transmission line with an mounting ladder and the platform.
At the end of the competition, KEGOC's team, headed by Berik Adamov and composed of employees of Akmolinskiye MES branch: Sergey Terentiev, Alexander Lissitzky, Aidar Kodormenov, Nikolai Kisselyev and Berik Kalymov, took the second place.
