On 18 February, the administration of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan met with the power industry veterans in KEGOC head office.
The meeting was attended by Vladimir Shkolnik – the Minister of Energy, Bakytzhan Dzhaksaliyev – Vice-Minister of Energy, Bakytzhan Kazhiyev – Chairman of KEGOC Management Board, Almassadam Satkaliyev – Chairman of Samruk-Energy Management Board, and Suinshlik Tiyessov – Chairman of KOREM Management Board, Shaimerden Urazalinov – Chairman of Kazakhstan Electricity Association, Sovetkhan Nurpeissov – Chairman of the Power Industry Veterans Council, Gennadiy Andreyev – President of KazNIPIEnergoprom Institute, Aleksandr Trofimov – General Director of KazSelEnergoProyekt Institute.
At the meeting, the Minister talked about the current situation in the national power industry, told veterans about the completed and ongoing programmes and projects, as well as industry development prospects.
Vladimir Shkolnik underlined that the older generation of power engineers made a significant contribution to the current industry’s achievements and thanked the veterans for their professional work and years of service dedicated to development of the national power industry.
The older generation, in their turn, expressed positive opinion about the development progress in the national power industry. The veterans also told about their social activity, noted that it is important to expand social activities. Particularly the top management of power industry companies shall pay more attention to pensioners and render support to power industry veteran organisations.
The participants of the meeting noticed that all kind of attention to power industry veterans is fundamental for development of labour dynasties and traditions in the industry.
