The Zhenis project rendered targeted aid as cash, domestic help, banquets and concerts for 4,000 veterans of the Great Patriotic War and war workers.
Zhenis is a national charitable project to honour living veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The project raises the spirit of patriotism, fosters moral and spiritual values and develops respect for history and heroic deeds of veterans in Kazakhstan society. It is implemented by the national companies, non-government organizations, volunteers from active young people and employees of the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies under the motto: Think of the Victory Every Day.
In 2015 the Zhenis project provided the Great Patriotic War veterans with 5,083 emergency call terminals.
In 2016 the project became a unique national social project involving the following organizations: Samruk-Kazyna Trust Social Development Foundation, Veterans Organization NGO, National Volunteer Network LEA, Samruk-Kazyna JSC, KazMunayGas NC JSC, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC JSC, KEGOC JSC, Kazpost JSC, Kazakhtelecom JSC, Pavlodar Airport JSC, Atyrau International Airport JSC, Aktobe International Airport JSC, United Chemical Company LLP, Kazpost JSC, Kazakhstan Engineering NC JSC, Samruk-Kazyna Real Estate Fund JSC, Kazatomprom NAC JSC, Samruk-Energy JSC, Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLP, Dara Charitable Foundation, Zamandas NGO, Kasietty Zhol Charitable Fund and Kazakhstan Cycling Federation.
The project promotes continuous care of veterans and plans to render a targeted and financial aid to all Great Patriotic War veterans living in the Republic of Kazakhstan (about 3,700 people). The project will cover about 10 thousand activities and inspect more than 5 thousand memorials and obelisks to engage the state bodies to repair and renovate them as may be required.
